Only after winning Gustavo Martínez in the last of today’s race, has the title been confirmed.
Not until the 12 race was celebrated, the World Champion was decided. The fight between both boats that had the options of winning, Rayco Tabares and Martínez commenced a fight that was like match racing, boat to boat covering each other at the starting line, where Martinez took the advantage to Tabares by three boat lengths. But Tabares did not miss the opportunity to find a gap in the fleet, crossing a few boats without the right of way, giving him the opportunity of having free wind and keeping far from the bigger groups.
The English boat Joystick skippered by Rob Larke, who ended up in 13th position just in front of the French Nantes Saint Nazare of Jean Queveau, was the best International. Following the also French Volileire all Purpose os Sylvain Pellissier was 16th, while the USA boat Jeffery Johnstone and his Jacuzzi climbing right down to the 27th position.
